Avalon School of Cosmetology has provided professional cosmetology training for more than 40 years. Our school was founded in Mesa, Arizona in 1967 and approved for accreditation in 1972 by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). In 1993 the School was incorporated as Joy Etc. Ltd. In 2008 it was purchased by EA Education, Inc. and renamed to Avalon School of Cosmetology in 2009.
School Locations
We have three convenient locations to choose from: the Mesa location in the Fiesta Palms Center at Alma School and Baseline Road, the Phoenix location in the Bell Embarcadero Center at 12th Street and Bell Road, and the Layton location on the north east corner of Antelope Drive and Main Street in Utah.

We also offer smaller classrooms which allows our qualified instructors to work with students on a more personal level, which helps ensure state board exams are passed without failure. In 2008, 97% of our graduates passed the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology exam their very first time!
We provide customized, flexible programs, and day and night classes that will fit almost any schedule. We also offer large and well-equipped clinics so students can receive the hands-on experience they need.
